Chris Paulsen

I was born in Brazil but grew up in Australia, Chicago, and Florida. This early travelling inspired a great desire to learn more about the many cultures and countries of the world and to help share this knowledge with others. Using my degrees in International Studies and Early Childhood Education and Care, I taught in Mexico, South Korea, Florida, Arizona, and Ohio before settling with my family in Austin.  Working in different Montessori classrooms with their emphasis on geographic and cultural understanding cemented my belief in the importance of a strong multicultural education. To help my students better understand, value, and appreciate the various peoples and cultures that make up our world is a continuing goal and dream.

Being at Lake Hills Montessori Bee Cave has supported this dream. It is such a pleasure to be with everyone at LHMBC. The natural beauty of the campus gives us a serene background to the cheerful sounds of the children at work and play, and our dedicated LHMBC staff and families continue to make our school a happy, harmonious, and helpful community of learners and givers.
